Vat Changes

Although all our courses are now subject to Vat, fees will not be increased in response to the forthcoming changes.  Whilst we have been able to reduce fees for some courses, in most cases fees for 2010 remain unchanged.

“ I would like to thank Helen and the staff for their help over the past few years and continued success in the future. I have thoroughly enjoyed the course and have been taught plenty of new information on horticulture.

Best wishes for the colleges continued success. I will be recommending the course to whom ever is interested.”

“Am working on TMA 03 and finding it really interesting!! Things I never knew about cocoa and pineapples!!  I find the questions cleverly designed to make one really think hard and do a lot of research which is why it takes me so long!!!  Even so I am really enjoying it! (wanted to share my thoughts about this!) Have a good weekend,”

“I have completed the RHS (Level 2) course and sat the exam. I understand the results will be coming from RHS but was wondering if you had any idea on how long it usually takes to get the results?

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Helen and IHRS for providing me with an excellent course and tuition. The modules were well written and even though I never met my tutor, Helen, I always felt she was there for me to ask questions at any time. The comments made on my answers were very beneficial.

If I pass this exam (fingers crossed!), I will be taking a break from study but in the future may want to look into further horticulture courses and it will most definitely be with yourselves. Thanks again.”

“Dear Helen, I am aware that I am running out of time to complete this course, although I only have TMA 12 to complete.  In truth I have little enthusiasm for Garden Design as a subject, preferring my gardens to evolve, as this new one will once the builders have departed!.....I should like to thank you for all your help, guidance and prompt attention over the last three years; nobody could have asked for a better tutor nor a more informative course.  I have thoroughly enjoyed it and learned so much.  I am sure that I shall go back over my course work during the winter and enjoy reading again the books that I obtained to help me in my course work.

P.S.  This (neglected) garden is poor, shallow, stony soil over a layer of clay in some places and in others shallow soil over slate rock!  Like the sound of it?  It's quite a challenge!  From the rocks that I have dug out of what will be the vegetable plot I have built a wall in the front garden!  Now I wouldn't have tackled that if I hadn't done the TMA covering rock walls! With my thanks and best wishes.”
